CROCHET

Handmade by Ida @ lemonbeedesigns.com

Crochet is so much fun!

It’s quick, easy and sooooo versatile.

As a teenager I had dabbled with some crochet. Making hats in weird random shapes and attempting to make a poncho before realising just how much effort it would take. But it wasn’t until after our wedding in 2012 that my crocheting really took off.

After all the wedding plans had been completed I had a serious creative void in need of filling and I wanted to try something new. Having been glued to my sewing machine for the past year (11 dresses and 80 meters of bunting) I was looking for something that would easily travel with me. So crochet felt like the perfect thing.

At first I had a hard time interpreting the patterns, but what a wonderful world we live in where one can find instruction videos for almost anything online. 😃 I taught my husband to crochet too so he could help me with some of the bigger projects. His concentration and patience amazes me as he has branched out with some great projects of his own. I mostly crochet hats and blankets now, but still love making toys, lacy cardies, mandalas, coasters, baskets and anything really.

Here are some past creations 😃
